A team of engineers from the UC Berkeley Seismology Lab recently upgraded the remote and critical Farallon Islands seismic station which monitors the San Andreas fault. The station is part of the California Earthquake Early Warning System of sensors that trigger the MyShake app's earthquake early warning.
